Lord Brougham Bibliography

Henry Peter Brougham, 1st Baron Brougham and Vaux (1778–1868), attracted an unusually large body of writing during his own lifetime and after his death. This bibliography brings together book-length biographies, specialist studies, contemporary pamphlets and important edited primary sources for readers wishing to explore his political, legal, educational, intellectual and personal career. Journal articles and general works in which Brougham appears only incidentally are not included. Inevitably this will not be a complete list, so readers are asked to supplement this list with their own research. Some of the older publications can be found online in digital form.
